Thor’s Hammer

THOR’S HAMMER or Mjolnir is the symbol for Thor, the god of thunder and lightning. The legends say that the dwarf brothers Eitri and Brokkr, who made many items for the Gods, made it. One brother told the other to never stop hammering. But the God Loki came and bit him, and he stopped hammering for a bit. When they took Mjolnir out of the fire, the handle was a bit short (which is why they have short handles). Mjolnir was then brought to Thor as a gift. The hammer amulet stands for protection against evil forces. In our modern time it is also a symbol of Scandinavian heritage.

Round head

 This pendant is hand forged from surgical grade stainless steel. The head is forged from 3/8” round stock and is about 1/2” finished thickness, while the handle is from 3/16” square stock twisted and forged. The whole piece measures approximately 3/4" wide and 1.5" long. It comes strung on a satin cord.

Please note that these pendants are hand forged so they will differ from the photo slightly. Each piece I make is unique in its own way.
