Our "Blacksmith knife" is a great all around utility knife. It's short, wide blade give it the control and versatility needed around camp or kitchen. These are forge from up-cycled coil spring and hold a good edge.
This design is sometimes called a Viking "woman's" knife. In reality, no one knows where the design originated. Examples date from Rome to the 17th century. So it works well with all time periods for re-enactors.
We make these in small batches and each is a unique piece. Blade sizes range from 2 1/2" to 3 1/2", with handles from 4 1/2" to 5". Total length rage from 7" to 8". Simple baked on oil finish.
