These Dragon pendants are hand forged from either stainless steel or copper. They measures approximately 2 1/2” tall and 1”wide. These are based off of the Jelling style of Norse dragon, which has been found in metalwork as well as wood carvings and rune stones. They comes Strung on a Waxed cotton cord.
Since we make these in 2 materials and 2 imprint designs, please choose which combination suits you.
We strive to keep these in stock, but please allow up to 3 weeks for shipment.
Please note that these Pendants are hand forged so each will differ slightly from the photo. Each piece I make is unique in its own way.
Dragons and serpents
Jörmungandr also known as the Midgard Serpent was a sea serpant of Viking myth. He was the child of the god Loki and the giantess Angrboða. Legends sat that Odin tossed Jörmungandr into the great ocean that encircles Midgard (the Earth). The Dragon grew so large that he surrounded Midgard and bit his own tail. This is why the Deagon or Serpent symbolizes rebirth and the life cycle. In the Lrgends of the American Indians the Serpent represents rain, thunder, the river, and fertility. Asian Dragons symbolize wisdom and knowledge
